Iona's career took a change in direction after moving from the U.K. to California in 2015. With a passion for make up and a love for traditional tattooing, Iona took the steps to begin training in permanent make up. 

Initially, she trained in microstroke brows with Daria Chuprys at her Beverly Hills academy, with fundamental training classes from Kim White. Iona then began training with Kim at her Huntington Beach studio, learning lip tattooing, eyeliner & fusion brow techniques.

In 2017, Iona moved to work alongside Audrey Glass at her West Hollywood studio. She also completed further lip training with Kostas at Daria Chuprys academy as well as learning ombré brow techniques with Brows by Linnie.
