WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE?
If you have any questions or concerns, or if you are unsure if you are a good candidate for cosmetic tattooing, please get in touch before booking. I will be happy to consult with you via email in order to answer any questions. If you have any medical conditions, please contact your physician and request a medical release form prior to your consultation.
I currently only take on select correction work. If you wish to book an appointment and already have existing pigment from another artist, please email me clear photos for approval prior to booking.
There are many factors that can make someone a poor candidate for permanent cosmetics. Firstly, for those looking to get microblading, oily skin does not heal with crisp strokes. With this skin type, the strokes tend to blend together and create a more powdered look. Clients with oily skin may wish to consider a powdered or ombre style brow, created by machine rather than with a hand tool.
Cosmetic tattooing is not recommended for any clients who are/have the following:
Pregnant or nursing
Diabetic
Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
Viral infections and/or diseases
Epilepsy
Pacemaker or major heart problems
Organ transplant
Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
Botox in the past 2 weeks
using accutane or other strong acne medications
Those currently prescribed antibiotics
You must be 18 or older to get tattooed with valid photo ID.
STUDIO RULES
I have a Strict 48 hour cancellation policy - those who need to cancel their appointment within 48 hours of the start time will lose their deposit, no exceptions. Please take into account traffic in order to avoid being late for your appointment as I have a 20 minute cut off time. There is 2 hour metered parking in front of the studio on Eagle Rock Blvd as well as free street parking in the surrounding side streets.
Please be advised, giving less that 48 hour notice to reschedule will result in the loss of your deposit - no exceptions. I do not allow clients to reschedule more than 2 times. If you need to reschedule for a third time your appointment will be canceled and you will lose your deposit. There are no exceptions to this rule.
I accept cash (preferred) or card only.
Guests are not allowed in the treatment area and children/pets are not allowed in the studio.
APPOINTMENT PREPARATION
Please come in wearing minimal makeup and consider the fact that I will remove any make up in the treatment area before starting. If you fill in your brows daily, please do so as you normally would so that I can see how you like to wear them. If you wax or thread your brows, please do so a week before your appointment. For every client, I design and map you brows according to your unique structure/features.
It is required that you have no sun/tanning bed exposure for 14 days before AND after your procedure.
You will not be able to exercise the day of or for 5 days after your appointment - excessive sweating will strongly affect your pigment retention.
Please do not take blood thinners for 24 hours before your appointment. This includes aspirin, niacin, Vitamin E, Fish oil, alcohol, and caffeine (unless advised by a physician).
Do not tint or dye your brows in the 7 days prior your appointment.
For those booking in for lip tattooing, please gently exfoliate your lips nightly for 7 days prior to your appointment. Please also ensure to keep them hydrated with regular lip balm application for the week prior to your appointment. If you have ever had a cold sore (even just 1!), it is very important that you see your doctor to get a 7 day prescription of your usual antiviral medication. This should be taken for the 3 days prior to your appointment, the day of, and then 3 further days after the procedure.
For lash line enhancement, you must stop using any lash growth serums 4 weeks in advance of your appointment. Lash serums will severely affect pigment retention. If you usually wear contact lenses, you will be unable to wear them for the day of your appointment and for 2 days following. Please be sure to bring glasses with you.
